Homemade Sweet Cream Coffee Creamer

Do you love the taste of store-bought creamers, but not the price or lengthy list of ingredients?  Yea, me too.  My solution was to start making our own!  It's super easy to do and with only 4 ingredients, I feel much better about indulging.  We've been making our own for the past few months and have no intention of going back.  You can use any extracts you like, but this is our favorite (tastes like Nestle's Italian Sweet Cream).  Here's how Mama makes it:

Homemade Sweet Cream Coffee Creamer

Ingredients:
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 t. almond extract
- 3 t. vanilla extract
- 3 c. half & half, or milk

Directions:

1.  In a 1 quart container (we re-use old coffee creamer containers and wash between batches of homemade), combine sweetened condensed milk and extracts.

2.  Add about half of the half & half, shake to combine, then pour in remaining half & half until almost full.  Shake until mixed and enjoy with your favorite coffee.  (Shake before each use)

    3. I tried the not sweetened condensed milk, and it just depends on if you don’t like it sweet and it’s less calories if that’s what you’re looking for just doesn’t seem as creamy

  5. How long is it good for?

    1. I read it has an expiration date equal to the expiration date as the heavy cream or the milk that is used! The fresher your milk or cream are the longer you can keep using.
Also creamer not stored in refrigerator spoils;so pour a bit for your coffee that sits on the counter and refill as needed.

  6. Love this! Make it every week, so delicious. After using silk almond creamer for years, realized the junk ingredients in the creamer. This homemade version is awesome and I add cinnamon

  8. in your recipe you pit 1 t. almond extract and 1 t. vanilla extract is the "t" for teaspoon or for tablespoon?

    1. Usually “T” is for tablespoon and “t” or “tsp” is for teaspoon, so I would say teaspoon. If it isn’t strong enough you can always add a little more. Hope that helps.

    2. Not to mention that 3 tablespoons of extract would be a lot!
