Here's a quick and simple recipe that's sure to become a tailgate favorite. In honor of Butler's homecoming (which sadly I'll be missing this year since I have to work), here's a 3 ingredient staple of any tailgate or football watching day. Go Dawgs!! Here's how Mama makes it:
Grape Jelly Turkey Meatballs
Ingredients:
-1 package frozen turkey meatballs
- 1 small jar grape jelly
- 1 bottle BBQ sauce (I used Sweet Baby Rays)
Directions:
1. In a slow cooker or large pot over medium-high heat, combine meatballs, jelly, and BBQ sauce. Stir to combine.
2. Slow cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-8 hours. If cooking on the stovetop, cook for about 30 minutes until meatballs are heated through and sauce thickens.
(see how the sauce thickens and darkens? YUM.)
Meanwhile, try to keep the kiddo from getting hurt with her crazy fearless acrobatics, like climbing on her jumper. Later, she was actually standing on it! Ahh, the joys of toddlers!
