Italian Beef Sandwiches
I apologize, I forgot to take a picture of the end result
we got caught up in the holiday celebration - as we should!
here's a cute baby pic instead :)
Ingredients:
- 5 lb. rump roast (or two that are about 5 lbs. together)
- 1 can beef broth
- 1 cup beer (any kind)
- 1 package zesty Italian seasoning mix
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon each: basil, black pepper, garlic salt, onion powder, oregano
- sandwich buns, optional
Directions:
1. Place roast in a slow cooker.
2. Place all remaining ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a rolling boil, then pour over the roast in the slow cooker. Cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-6 hours.
be careful not to let it boil over

when it's done, you can easily shred or cut it with a fork
we usually serve it as sandwiches on buns
